Muscat, Oman, 27 October 2024: Snow Oman, in partnership with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, has announced the winners of the inaugural edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge which took place today.

Featuring 15 daring obstacles, such as monkey bars, car crawls, tyre flips, and a splash pool in real snow, the Ice Warrior Challenge witnessed 358 athletes from 18 nationalities, including 248 Omanis, push the limits of their inner warrior.

His Excellency Azzan Qassim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of Tourism, Experience Oman, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and Mohammad El Etri, Managing Director, Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment, presented the awards to the winners of the three categories, Elite Fitness, Regular and Team.

Elite Category Winners

Leading the Top 3 Elite Fitness Male Winners was Yousuf Al Busaidi with a finish time of [00:15:12]. He was followed by Mahmoud Aladdin and Laith Al Shidhani with finish times of [00:15:51] and [00:16:43] respectively. Reyhane Hajibeygi led the Top 3 Elite Female Winners, finishing the race at [00:17:28]. Close on her heels was Pearline Chrissie with a finish time of [00:24:59].

Regular Category Winners

Adil Al Balushi and Zuweina Albusaidi emerged as the overall 1^st place male and female winners with a finish time of [00:06:43] and [00:09:46] respectively. Not to be outdone were Mansoor Al Zeidi and Fatma Al Harthi with a finish time of [00:07:04] and [00:10:48] respectively. Completing the Top 3 Omar Al Harthy and Eithar Al Wadhahi with a finish time of [00:07:21] and [00:10:55] respectively.

Team Category Winners

The overall winners were VOX MP HO with a finish time of [00:08:15]. Close on their heels in 2^nd place was The Ultimate Warriors, with a finish time of [00:08:26] followed by Magic Planet – MCT who completed the challenge in [00:08:58].
