ENTRY CONDITIONS DIFFER BETWEEN COUNTRIES:

Documentation and entry conditions differ between countries. While in most cases a Tourist Visa can be procured on arrival, obtaining the appropriate Visa prior to traveling is highly recommended. COUNTRIES COME UNDER VISA EXEMPTION: 

In line with national efforts to promote and ease services for tourists visiting Oman, nationals of 103 countries and regions are exempt from entry visas for stays up to 14 days.

The exemption is subject to certain requirements including a prior and confirmed hotel booking, health insurance, and a return ticket.

The countries and regions whose nationals are exempt from entry visas to the Sultanate for a period of 14 days, subject to certain requirements, are listed below.

PROCEDURES FOR OTHER COUNTRIES:

A visa shall be granted to persons wishing to enter the Sultanate for the purpose of tourism. The visa shall allow them to reside in the Sultanate for a period not exceeding one month, which may be extended for a similar period. A local sponsor is required and under his responsibility (one of the local tourism companies or a hotel in the Sultanate that has a tourist license) and it is issued by the Directorate General of Passport & Residence or one of its branches in Headquarters (HQ) and General Directorates in the various governorates of the Sultanate.
