Muscat, Oman – 29/9/2024 – Ras Al Hamra Golf Club is pleased to announce its upcoming Charity Golf Tournament, a fundraising event aimed at supporting efforts of Oman Hereditary Blood Disorders Association (OHBDA) which works to raise awareness, research, and provide care for individuals and families affected by hereditary blood disorders in Oman. This event will take place on Friday 11th October 2024 at the beautiful Ras Al Hamra Golf Club
This tournament invites golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a day of friendly competition on the greens while contributing to a noble cause. Proceeds from the event will go directly toward supporting OHBDA’s mission to improve the quality of life for patients suffering from genetic blood disorders, including sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, and hemophilia.
Players can register as individuals or teams. Early registration is encouraged as spots are limited. The tournament will commence with 2 shot gun starts at 12:30pm and 3:30pm with an option for morning tee times. This will be a 9 hole Texas scramble format. After the tournament, there will be a charity auction and dinner, offering participants the opportunity to further support OHBDA’s life-changing programs.
OHBDA is dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for individuals and families affected by hereditary blood disorders in Oman. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, the association strives to improve the lives of those impacted by these conditions and ensure access to better healthcare and resources.
Hereditary blood disorders affect thousands of people in Oman, making the work of OHBDA critical in raising awareness, providing medical support, and advocating for better healthcare options. This tournament provides a platform for the golfing community to unite and make a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted.
"We are thrilled to host our annual charity golf tournament, bringing together golfers and supporters for a day of fun, awareness, and philanthropy," said Adel Al Foory, President of Ras Al Hamra Recreational Centre. "Every participant and sponsor is playing a vital role in helping us improve the lives of those living with hereditary blood disorders. Together, we can make a lasting impact."
